Coniferous forest birds

Coniferous forest birds appear in spruce and pine dominated forests, and mixed-type forests dominated by coniferous trees. A typical nature habitat type where coniferous forest birds can be found is a fresh mineral soil forest site. Coniferous forests birds also appear in commercially managed forests dominated by coniferous trees but prefer natural forests. Bird species inhabiting commercially managed forests are the hazel grouse, goldcrest, Eurasian treecreeper and the Eurasian siskin. Other coniferous forest birds include black grouse, green sandpiper, European robin and Eurasian jay, etc.
